Ashvale is an isolated township omitted from numerous contemporary transportation records despite confirmed historical references dating back to the early twentieth century.
Witnesses frequently report entering the town during periods of dense fog following minor navigation errors. Attempts to immediately retrace their route consistently fail. Several investigators have noted that street names appear to change between separate visits despite photographic documentation indicating otherwise.
No official census records exist after 1978, though electrical infrastructure remains operational throughout much of the town.
FIELD NOTES
PHENOMENON A: SIREN EVENTS
Multiple investigators documented the sound of an industrial warning siren occurring without an identifiable source.
Environmental conditions immediately following these events include increased atmospheric ash, rapidly declining visibility, and temporary radio failure.
No emergency infrastructure capable of producing the signal has been located.
PHENEOMENON B: EXTREME FOG
Following a siren event, a sudden wall-like dense fog engulfs the town. Visibility drops to near-zero with navigation being severely handicapped.
No matter the weather forecast, time of day, etc. once a siren sounds off, the fog is quick to follow.
Field teams reported that once they left the town, the fog suddenly dissipates.
RECOVERED EVIDENCE
EVIDENCE LOG 001: MUNICIPAL MAP
Recovered inside the former Ashvale Visitor Information Center.
The map depicts several neighborhoods absent from all state planning documents.
EVIDENCE LOG 002: DIGITAL WRISTWATCH
Recovered near the northern town limits.
The device displayed 03:17 continuously for eleven days despite battery removal.
Internal circuitry contained no detectable faults.
EVIDENCE LOG 003: TOURISM BROCHURE
Recovered inside the lobby of the abandoned Ashvale Municipal Visitor Center.
The brochure advertises local attractions, lakeside recreation, and seasonal festivals.
Despite extensive weather damage, every photograph depicting residents has faded completely, leaving only the surrounding environment intact.
The reverse side contains the slogan:
"Welcome Home."
No municipal records reference the publication.

Survey teams have documented navigational inconsistencies, unexplained temporal discrepancies, and architectural features inconsistent with regional records. Independent expeditions conducted months apart have produced nearly identical observations despite varying entry points.
Current evidence suggests the town may exist as a localized spatial anomaly rather than a conventional settlement.
Researchers continue to debate whether Ashvale functions as a fixed geographical location or a psychologically responsive environment.
Repeated witness interviews indicate that no two individuals describe the town exactly the same way.
However, nearly every account includes one consistent observation:
"It felt like the town already knew why I was there."
