Salem Hollow is a densely forested region where witnesses consistently report hearing distant electronic music despite the absence of any measurable audio source.
The phenomenon is most commonly observed during periods of heavy fog or after sunset. Witnesses describe the music as indistinct yet deeply familiar, often insisting they recognize individual melodies despite being unable to identify the recordings.
Extended exposure has been associated with vivid dreams and persistent feelings of nostalgia.
FIELD NOTES
PHENEOMENON A: AUDIO MANIFESTATIONS
Investigators have documented recurring reports of distant music originating from within the forest despite environmental monitoring equipment detecting no corresponding sound source.
Witnesses frequently disagree on the direction from which the music originates.
Attempts to locate the source have been unsuccessful.
PHENEOMENON B: ENVIRONMENTAL OCCULTATION

Individuals navigating the Hollow periodically report brief visual observations of unidentified figures positioned between tree lines or within dense fog.
These sightings are typically accompanied by an overwhelming sensation of recognition rather than fear.
No physical evidence has been recovered following documented encounters.
Portable radios, cassette players, vehicle stereos, and digital recording devices have repeatedly produced audio not present on the original media.
Recovered recordings contain heavily degraded electronic compositions, environmental ambience, fragmented speech, and prolonged periods of tape hiss.
Laboratory analysis has been unable to identify the origin of the transmitted material.
RECOVERED EVIDENCE
EVIDENCE LOG 001: ASSORTMENT OF CASSETTES
Recovered from a weathered backpack discovered approximately 1.2 km northeast of the primary observation zone.
The tapes contained severely degraded recordings of atmospheric electronic music interspersed with prolonged silence, tape hiss, and intermittent environmental noise. Audio specialists identified recurring melodic structures across multiple recordings despite extensive signal degradation. Several passages appear to have been overwritten numerous times.

EVIDENCE LOG 002: UNDEVELOPED FILM ROLLS
Three undeveloped 35mm film rolls were recovered from beneath a collapsed observation platform.
The majority of the film was too damaged to properly develop. Despite the degrading quality, three figures can be seen in numerous pictures; the individuals in these photos cannot be determined due to the faces being extremely distorted.

The page contains fragmented handwritten verses repeatedly interrupted by strike-throughs, illegible revisions, and overlapping graphite impressions.
One recurring phrase appears throughout the document before fading into illegible markings.
"...Are you quiet when you sleep?..."

Since the opening of Case PRS-008, Salem Hollow has demonstrated a consistent pattern of recurring environmental anomalies that have yet to be satisfactorily explained through conventional investigation.
Repeated field operations have documented unexplained audio events, inconsistent navigational data, electronic interference, and the recovery of multiple anomalous artifacts within a relatively confined geographic area. While no immediate threat to public safety has been identified, investigators continue to report recurring phenomena under similar environmental conditions, suggesting that the observed activity is persistent rather than isolated.
Analysis of recovered cassette recordings has identified repeating musical structures despite significant signal degradation. Laboratory testing has not determined whether the recordings originated within the Hollow or were introduced by an external source prior to recovery.
Multiple investigators independently described the recovered music as "something they had listened to years ago," despite no two individuals identifying the same recording.
Environmental monitoring has also revealed irregular fluctuations in localized electromagnetic readings; however, collected data remains insufficient to establish a causal relationship between these anomalies and reported witness experiences.
At present, investigators consider Salem Hollow an active observation site. The accumulation of independent witness testimony, recurring environmental conditions, and recovered physical evidence warrants continued monitoring and periodic field investigation.
No singular explanation adequately accounts for the totality of documented events.
Further evidence is required before additional classification revisions can be made.
